Nagoya

This past weekend, Nagoya was holding their annual celebration, Nagoya Matsuri, so I thought that this would be a good time to make the trip. I thought Nagoya was big. I first visited Nagoya Castle, which was amazing. It is impressive the size of the site. In Nagoya castle was a tea house which was interesting to see. After spending some time here, I walked to Nagoya TV Tower. Around this tower was a local festival which was being held for this annual celebration. Across the street was Oasis 21, the design of this mall is really neat. The whole mall is underground. It is in this place that I found a Pokémon store, an Anime store, as well as a Studio Ghibli store dedicated to the anime created by Hao Miyazaki, among other stores. The items were neat to see. On this day there where many special events being held at this mall which was also interesting to see. On top of the mall was a huge pool with colorful designs in it. The next thing I saw was this outdoor shopping area a few minutes from Oasis 21. Each entrance had a different design and their where many various kinds of shops in this area. After seeing the shops, I walked back to where the parade was to be held. It was an impressive sight to behold. It had many people dressed in colorful costume. People were dressed as ninja, samurai as well as other characters. I think that the parade floats where impressive. After the parade ended I walked back to the train station, got on the train, and went back to AUE.
